Living Intent Yurts got its start in the woods of northern Maine in 2016, beginning with building a single yurt and a passion for a more sustainable lifestyle.

From there, the company built more and more yurts for neighbors and friends. After a year of building yurt kits out of garages and carports, we put all the yurts, tools, and Makita (the dog and CEO) in the back of a cargo van and drove west to California to pursue a dream: Building a yurt company with the simple philosophy of providing a superior product at a competitive price. We strive to support and empower our customers with expert knowledge and an open heart, from nose to tail, on every order.

Since 2017 Living Intent Yurt Company, LLC has been settled in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California, proudly offering quality handcrafted yurts to customers up and down the west coast, as well as wherever mail is delivered!
